Possible Signs Of Female Infertility

It is recommended that most couples try for at least a year to conceive before they seek medical intervention. Conception can take time, and many couples are surprised by the suggestion that they wait a year before seeking medical help, but conception can take months to occur.

For couples trying to conceive there are kits available that can help determine when ovulation is occurring. These kits are made to detect a hormone called LH that indicates that ovulation will happen in about 24 to 48 hours.

Another way that couples can help narrow down when ovulation is going to happen is by using a basal thermometer. This special thermometer is designed to show small changes in a woman’s temperture. These small fluctuations can indicate that ovulation is about to occur, and a rise in temperture shows that ovulation has happened. By plotting out the monthly changes, a couple can begin to notice a pattern on when ovulation happens.

For some couples there may be some indication that there is a problem. If by using a basal thermometer or an ovulation kit a couple finds there is no change this can be one of the signs of female infertility. Keep in mind that women may not ovulate every month so that can also explain why there may be several months that don’t record any change.

There are other possible signs of female infertility, and couples should be aware of what these are.

Some Other Signs Of Female Infertility

There are several other signs of female infertility and some may already be aware of them. The absence of a period is one of the obvious signs of female infertility. Women can stop getting their periods for several reasons, including sudden weight loss and even exercising too much.

Both of these conditions can cause a woman to stop ovulating and then her period would also cease. Some women have irregular periods and these can also indicate problems with fertility. A condition called PCO, Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease is often found to be the issue for women with irregular periods. With this condition, a woman has a hormone imbalance that impedes the process of ovulation.

Women who have extremely painful periods may also be experiencing one of the signs of female infertility. Painful periods may be the result of Endometriosis that affects many women. With this, a woman has developed tissue from her uterus on the outside of the uterus. This endometrial lining can cause excessive damage to organs and the fallopian tubes preventing conception from occurring.

For couples that are trying to find a fertility cure, it is important to be aware of the possible signs of female infertility. These signs can help a physician focus on a particular area that could be the problem in the couple’s infertility. By being aware of these conditions, a couple can help their physician find treatments for their infertility.
